Staff Profiles

Course Director

Karen Aldwell holds an MA in English Language Teaching and Applied Language Studies, a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages and the Trinity Cert TESOL. She has been teaching at Golders Green College since 1999 and involved in teacher training since 2005. She was appointed Academic Director in 2010. Karen has previously taught in South America and at Wimbledon School of Art in London.

Deputy Director

Antony Myers holds a BA in Linguistics (First Class), the Cambridge DELTA (Distinction) and the Trinity Cert TESOL. He initially trained at Golders Green College and has extensive experience in EFL in the UK and Pakistan, teacher training, course design and specialised one-to-one teaching including teaching English to journalists. He is also the college’s Assistant Director of Studies.

Tutoring Staff

Viola Szekelyhidi holds the Cambridge DELTA and the Trinity Cert TESOL. She has been working at Golders Green College as a teacher and trainer since 2004. Viola is one of our senior teachers with extensive experience in EFL and teacher training.

Joelle Finck has been teaching at Golders Green College since 2009. She holds the Cambridge DELTA (Merit) and the Trinity Cert TESOL as well as a BA in Economics and Politics. She specialises in English for academic purposes and exam preparation.

Janice Jablonka holds an MA in Modern Literatures in English and a BA (Hons) in Humanities and English Literature. She has the Cert TESOL and is currently studying for her Cambridge DELTA. Janice has a broad educational background, including working with learners with special educational needs.
