EFL Teacher Training
The Trinity Cert TESOL

The Trinity College London Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (Cert TESOL) is an initial teacher training certificate and is designed for those with little or no experience of teaching English. It equips trainees with the basic skills and knowledge on teaching methodology necessary to embark on a career as an EFL/ESOL teacher. It provides a firm foundation from which trainees can develop professionally.

Initial Teacher Training for ESOL Teachers

Trainee teachers on our Cert TESOL Courses at Golders Green College benefit in many ways from our professional training course. They learn new technical teaching skills, acquire knowledge on recent and past teaching methodologies, develop language awareness and have the opportunity to teach real language students.

Course Validation

Trinity’s Cert TESOL is approved by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) and is at level 5 of the UK National Qualifications Framework (NFQ).  Cert TESOL holders are recognised by the British Council as ready to take up their first position as EFL teachers in the UK and abroad.

The Cert TESOL is recognised by major employers and thousands of successful trainees have used their Cert TESOL to gain employment in schools and colleges around the world. Our recent trainees are currently working in: Spain, Italy, France, Japan, Thailand, South America, the UK and Africa.
