PTLLS

PTLLS is the first step to a full teacher qualification (QTLS) in this sector, commonly referred to as Further Education (FE).

The Trinity Cert TESOL at Golders Green College already covers 90% of the PTLLS syllabus and successful Cert TESOL trainees can attend four additional sessions and submit a further assessed assignment for marking. If this is successful, the trainee will receive not only the Trinity Cert TESOL, but the PTLLS certificate as well. This will prove very helpful in securing a first job in the UK further Education sector and provides credits towards the Level 5 DTLLS, which all FE teachers will eventually have to gain.

Submitting the PTLLS assignment is not compulsory and it is not a required element of the Trinity Cert TESOL. Those wishing to gain this extra qualification will pay an additional £120 to cover exam fees, certification and marking. This is extremely cost-effective, as training companies in London are currently charging £750 for the PTLLS alone.
